Pop up Shop at Black Owned Toronto

This month, I was blessed with the opportunity to feature my brand at Black Owned Toronto’s store in Square One Shopping Centre, a shopping mall located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It is the largest shopping centre in Ontario and the second largest shopping centre in Canada, after the West Edmonton Mall.

Black Owned Toronto is an online platform dedicated to highlighting black owned businesses. Often times it is very difficult to find black owned businesses in the city. This store is a one stop shop for all shopping/service needs. This is also a great way to buy locally, and support the city’s economy!

I do not take this opportunity for granted and know that God had me there for a reason. With a new collection in the pipeline, I knew I had to be there to not only market the new collection and my brand but spread the message of the Gospel - the good news. What a privilege.

So, How did it go?

My expectation was probably not the same as any business owner would have in my position. Selling out and coming back home with an empty trunk is great, but not so great if there iMy expectations were probably not the same as any business owner in my situation. My hope was to meet people and be able to talk about Jesus, and that's exactly what I was able to do. I wore my Jesus Loves You hoodie and got many looks, great conversations, and beautiful smiles as I walked through the store and mall.

I told God that I wanted to be a vessel and that He should use me as He sees fit and as He pleases. I trust that this has been accomplished and that God has done what he sent me there to do.

I cannot boast or take credit for anything because I know that I am nothing without his guidance.

I want to say a big thank you to my mentee, friend and sister, Samantha, who joined me on my trip to Toronto and assisted me throughout the day. Words cannot express the true gratitude I feel. She showered me with prayers, sacrificed her weekend, prayed with me, spent long hours with me and did it all with a huge smile. I pray that God blesses everything that concerns you Samantha!

I am proud of how far I have come with this brand. This is the sixth year and God is still working wonders and proving to me that He can be trusted.

Let this be an encouragement that when God is with you, everything falls into place.
